Pay what you can

January 26, 2021

Impact summit ticket guide

For this year’s Impact Summit, we’ve introduced a ‘pay what you can’ system for tickets. This is something we’ve been trialling on some of our smaller events (with lots of positive feedback!), and we’re excited to bring it to Impact Summit.

Why are we doing it?

The biggest reason for us introducing a ‘pay what you can’ model is quite simple: it’s more inclusive. Economies, businesses, communities and individuals across the world are struggling, and the pandemic has exacerbated this even further.

Wherever possible, we want to ensure that financial barriers do not stop people from attending our events. We believe wholeheartedly in our mission, and, in order to make our impact as big as possible, we want to reach, inspire and inform as many people as we can.

How does it work?

We’ve introduced four ticket types for you to choose from, with prices suggested depending on your circumstances.

£10 - suggested for students
£20 - suggested for startups and freelancers
£50 - suggested for established businesses and organisations
£100 - suggested for those who’d like to support our work (also includes a ‘pay it forward’ ticket)

If you don’t identify with any of these groups, don’t worry! It’s not a rigid structure and we’ve only included a few reference points to help guide you. All we ask is that you treat the system with honesty and make a choice based on a realistic reflection of your means. Basically, don’t be a dick. :)

As always, we will allocate a number of free tickets to low income and underrepresented groups too (feel free to get in touch!). Want to help out? One of our ticket types includes a ‘pay it forward’ option if you’d like to donate a ticket.

Why is there a minimum price?

Our goal is to find the balance between a fair ticket price, ensuring that we can provide a world-class experience for our attendees, and our own sustainability. Like any other business, we need to cover our costs!

Get in touch!

As ever, we’d love to hear your thoughts. Please let us know if you have any input or questions!
